Special birthday shave today. Excellent shave with a 1954 flare tip super speed, Gillette 7 o’clock super platinum and Noble Otter Orbit soap. Got me ready for another trip around the sun.

Logged my second ever shave with the Muhle R41, Schick blade and Speick cream. After hearing of the R41’s reputation approached these shaves with much trepidation. So far my experience has been exactly opposite and feel like I’ve met a new friend. The R41 has been awesome.

It sure is. I live in Norman so there’s a lot of stuff to do especially if you like sports. The Tulsa area is really nice. It has a more midwestern feel than the OKC area which is bay Dallas. Thankfully our traffic isn’t as bad.

Have been enjoying my Oliworks Meteorite SS with a medium plate. Also like my Aylsworth Apex SS with a standard plate. They’ve been fighting it out to see which gives the best shave. Too close to call at this point because shaves have been outstanding.

Glad to be aboard. Have been a wet shaver for many years, converted from cartridges to DE about 3 years ago and haven’t looked back. Shaving had been a daily chore in the past but has become one of the most enjoyable parts of my day. Looking forward to new information and ideas.
