Shave of the day for 15th December '25 to 15th January 2026

Thursday Afternoon 18/12/2025
  • Razor : Haircut&Shave CO. DE stainless top cap and handle alummium base plate.(USA)
  • Blade : Wizamet Super Iridium Stainless (1). (Russia)
  • Brush : Grizzly Bay  Fanchurian  Badger. (USA)
  • Soap : The Goodfella's Smile Abysso (non Tallow). (Italy)
  • Aftershave : Cussons Imperial Leather No1 original classic . (Thailand)
  • Weight : 104 grams. (Razor)
Hi all,
        I had a lovely shave today with the Haircut&Shave Co DE razor it has a .75 mm blade gap with neutaral exposure.
This razor features an aluminium base plate its the only SS DE I have tried like this I must say it works well.
Its a very smooth efficient razor the wieght of the razor seemed to do all the work for me.

The Goodfella's smile Abysso has a very nice on the face feel with a great scent to boot this is one of my favourite TGS soaps.

Finished off with  Imperial lather splash.

1 pass WTG 1 pass ATG Done no touch ups.

thanks.. the soap is the new 'Lux' base.. takes a ton of water, and builds enough lather to shave everyone in the neighbourhood..  ;)  seriously though, an excellent base..

Morning shave with the Copper Athena, using a Laser Ultra blade on its 4th (and final) use, the beloved Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary for lather, an OUMO EXCEED 1 Blue Flame ST-2 29mm fan knot brush, and HAGS Orbit Grove moisturizing balm for the post-shave.
Efficient and thoroughly enjoyable!

Some of the S.V. soaps really do make my day better—70th Anniversary is especially hard to beat.
