Hello friends. I am active on other forums and recognize many of you. I am here due to the closing of The Shave Den. My entry into traditional shaving began when one of my sons, heading off to college, expressed interest in traditional shaving. We purchased a VDH TTO, brush, and a puck of Williams Mug from WalMart and sent him to college. Curious about his new interest, I spent the semester researching the topic and became immersed in gentlemanly shaving. By the time he returned for Christmas break, I had acquired a Merkur 34C, Proraso soaps, and a Yaqi Sagrada Familia brush. His brother took interest, and I began a spending binge "for the boys." They both now sport full beards, and I have more shaving goods than I can use in a lifetime. As a member on another forum says in his bio tagline, "I shaved a fortune." The son who got me started is a talented artist. He created my avatar, Godzilla holding a Japanese Kai razor blade. Looking forward to seeing how this community develops.

Welcome @ewk, not on TSD, but here and it’ll develop great with input and support IMHO from numerous members of the “wet shaving” community
