Any SECRETS you discovered on making a GREAT LATHER

One I picked up this month is the speed in which you swirl your brush (for bowl lathers) can have a positive or negative effect on how your lather turns out. Too fast and you can end up with a substandard result because of incorporating too much air too quickly.
Like everything else in life, taking a few more moments to savor the process can be a very good thing.

First off there is NO 110% Right Way to do most things for 100% of the people. Wet Shaving to be NO BULL Truthful is like driving your vehicle from New York City to Los Angeles, many routes all will get you there. Some are more scenic, others faster, others are just an option.
Making Lather is not Rocket Science IMHO, it is a game of trail & error, practice, knowledge building with each SOAP, CROAP, OR CREAM. Everyone is different even thought they all do basically the same thing. Wet & Saturate Beard, Provide Slick Shave e Surface, and last Leave Face Felling Nice.
The basic tools needed for Lather Making are Soap, Cream, or Croap, Brush, Water, and optional Shave Bowl, Mister Spray Bottle, and Scoop. I use the optional items by choice.
This is what I do step by step, and remember each Soap, Croap, and Cream needs different amounts of water to product ratio, and Brush swirling strokes to make your perfect Lather.
I use a Shave Bowl, it is sort of FAUX Chinese Copy of Captains Choice Ceramic. Cost like $7.00 on AliExpress, and Spray Bottle was $1.00 found at Wally-World.
First thing I do with any Brush is Soak in Water 5 - 10 minutes. Warm, Luke Warm, Cold Water, temperature seems to make little difference. Avoid Hot Water.
Next thing I do is Spraying some Distilled Water like two - four Squirts into Shave Bowl bottom before putting in Soap aka product into Shave Bowl.
Next I Scoop small amount of Cream, Soap, or Croap into Shave Bowl. Maybe the size of Small Almond. Scoop is PINK FREE ICE CREAM TASTING SPOON from Baskin robins 31 Flavors Ice Cream. It works perfect for me. Then I personally spread it out over Bowls bottom.
Now I shake most of the water out of my WET SHAVE BUSH what the Brush only is, Horse, Boar, Badger, or Synthetic Fibers. So Brush is now damp.
Now I move on to Swirling the Brush in the PRODUCT IN BOWL, it always seems to get into Brush. Now I do more Squatting 15- 25 Squirt into Bowl, and then back in Bowl Brush goes releasing Lather. It goes in to Rotation Mode, both Clock & Counter Clockwise, Plus Back & Forth. Minimum Swirling is 100 times + or
As you learn the idiosyncrasy of your Soap, Croap, or Cream to Water Ration you have knowledge for future use. This is not one size fits all, each product likes different amounts of water to product ration
But now you should have lots of great wet, saturating Lather like RICH THICK WHIPPED CREAM.
As I said now of this is rocket science, not a big deal, you just time, learning something call Technique & Water To Product Ration for BEST RESULTS.
This process is like most life skills, it don’t happen overnight, it take time & practice to be good at anything. Be it Wood Carving, Golf, Tennis, Salesmanship, or Wet Shaving………JMHO
