Hi Brothers,
It's been about 9 months since I started Shave & Chat, the friendly and unstuffy forum for wet shavers.
Right now we're sitting at around 300 members, which is admittedly a little disappointing. But we're not going anywhere. We'll keep soldiering on because I genuinely want this forum to become the worthy successor to The Shave Den, where so many of us first met.
Our Philosophy
My goal has always been simple:
Create an interesting, informative, lightly moderated community where we can all be ourselves—without the drama, politics, or unnecessary bickering that too often takes over other forums.
There are intentionally very few rules here. Our moderators are sensible people. We won't tolerate genuine nonsense, but the occasional rude joke, cheeky photo, or slightly risky graphic isn't the end of the world.
Some of us are experts. Some are beginners. Most of us fall somewhere in between. Every opinion is welcome, provided it's shared respectfully and in good humour.
If you disagree with another brother, by all means challenge the idea, but never the person. Healthy discussion is encouraged. Personal attacks are not.
A Word About AI
We're living in the AI era now, and whether we like it or not, AI-generated content is becoming part of everyday life, including here.
All I ask is that AI content is:
- Clearly acknowledged as AI-generated.
- Posted to inform or entertain.
- Not created simply for the sake of posting.
CONTENT • CONTENT • CONTENT
That's what keeps any forum alive.
Many of us prefer to sit quietly on the sidelines, reading and enjoying the discussions without posting, and that's perfectly fine.
But I'd like to ask each of you to consider contributing just one post, comment, or photo each week.
That kind of activity creates conversations, attracts new members, and keeps the community thriving.
Please take just five minutes out of your week to post something.
Even if it's nothing more than:
"Hello, I’m doing fine."
Every contribution matters.
