This will be my setup for next week (first shave with this setup Sunday night):

Frugal February item:
Assured razor, bought at Dollar Tree for $1

And I figured if I was going to be shaving with such a cheap razor, I would make the rest of the shave Top Shelf.

Blade: Rapira Platinum Lux
Soap and AS: B&M Fougere Angelique
Brush : JR352 with 30mm Synbad synthetic knot (soft as a cloud) @Jayaruh

Happy shaving

Not a very frugal shave but, in today’s economic scope, still pretty decent.

Colonial Brass General - $60 US
Feather Pro Super - $.74 US
Fendrihan 24mm Tux B&C - $9.99 US
Razorock Tuscan Oud - $5.99 US
Razorock XXX splash - $8.99 US
Givenchy Gentleman Boisee - $54.99 US

Not exactly frugal here to be honest however, it’s mid-priced all around in both hardware & software that offers tremendous value in both quality, value and longevity in use.

IKON MR-SE w/Razorock Super Knurl - $35 & $14.99 respectively
Schick Proline blade - $.73
Alpha Shaving Works Jade brush - $19.99 (Black Friday Special)
Ethos Vetivert soap - $55
Ethos Vetivert splash - $28
Amouroud Lunar Vetiver - $79 (Tester)

I mean a synthetic brush is pretty frugal compared to a badger!

Second shave of the week with this setup. I am normally an every other day shaver but this week I have been home with my youngest son who hasn't been feeling well.

What can I say about this razor. It's light, it's cheaply made, it's aggressive, and it's really sings when it's cutting.

Two passes with a very light touch and I'm smooth and feeling great!

Happy shaving!

Frugal February item:
Stirling boar brush factory second $5

Razor: Cooper Monobilt
Blade: Rapira Platinum Lux (3)
Soap: B&M Fougere Angelique
AS: Cella

Fantastic shave from my favorite vintage razor. The Stirling boar brush was hungry and I had to go back to the puck to have enough lather for the second pass.

That's awesome! I'll keep a eye out for in a future SOTD!

For me it doesn't get much better then the MonoBilt.

I hope it doesn't break any rules to keep doing the same thing over and using the same pictures, but I used the same items that I used in my previous shaves again today. With that said, I plan on switching it up a little bit the next time I shave.

Frugal February:
Wilkinson Sword shave stick, 2 for $3
Dorco Titan $6/100

Razor: Cooper MonoBilt
Blade: Dorco Titan
Brush: Wild West Brushworks
AS: Country Club Sweet Water

First time trying a Dorco Titan, I was a little nervous given the price and some mixed reviews. For me it was very smooth and plenty sharp. The Wilkinson Sword soap whipped up into a beautifully slick and creamy lather.

Happy shaving!
