Have not seen many reviews on Van Yulay products, mine was a Sample Size - Shave Soap, with Emu Oil, so as I had this sample size I have used about 8-10 days. This sample was gifted me at AZWetShaveMeetuo last February.
Thought I would chime in with positives, and negatives. Have use both an Omega - Connaught 011911 Boar Brush and my PAA Moon Stryker Synthetic Brush to make Lather with this Soap. Both Brushes seem to work about the same.
POSITIVES:
Soap leaves face very smoother post shave, could be the Emu Oil.
Soap is very very very smooth, and provides a great slick shaving surface.
Soap made a very good work lather, but I notice I have to use more product then PAA CK-6, and work significantly longer..
Must say I love the Artwork Van Yulay uses.
Van Yulay offer over 70+ different Scents, so you got many choice like Sterling Products.
Last I will say Van Yulay does sell sample sizes of all her soaps, and the price IMHO is very fair if you wish to test any. Web-Site has great descriptive info.
NEGATIVES:
Like most Soap Van Yule has an interesting learning curve to get Great Lather, and I was surprise how much Water must be added get Thick Creamy Lather. This is as very Water thirsty Shave Soap.Cannot think of anything else negative to say as most of their Soap are in the $18.99 - 24.99 Price Range. Understand Van Yulay is also the make of Strike Gold Soaps. This is just an FYI.
