Wow, these two definitely do not disappoint. Fantastic Shave from each. The built-in self lubricating strip on the RS 18 does make it incredibly smooth and comfortable. The RS 10 with the more aggressive plate of the two that it comes with may have been a smidge closer on the first pass with both sides were BBS at the end of three passes. Self lubricating strips are two separate pieces that fit into the razor one beneath the top camp and over the top of the blade and the other goes actually on the bottom of the bass plate. You apparently can use the razor without these, although this seems like it probably adds to the comfort of the shave. Each set of the lubricating strips apparently lasts for 3 to 4 months if used daily, so the four that I received probably represent a lifetime supply given the rotation of razors.
