Today was an amazing Derby day shave! Obviously had to go with Zingari’s new release “The Derby” and having just come back from The Razor Company’s Official Unofficial Meetup I reached for all things TRC related including the TRC Titanium which is a revelation! Wow is all I can say! No matter what horse crosses the finish line first I’ve already won today!
The Derby is such a great scent. The mint is the first to reach my nose but doesn’t hang around as prominently as it develops. The booziness start to peak it’s head through mingling with a touch of creamy musk. The dry down was creamy and green with more of an ivy than mint coming through in the end. Quite a scent journey or derby if you will. A definite winner!
The TRC Titanium is a razor I picked up off a friend and was told it was a fantastic razor that punches well above its weight. I had never grabbed it which it turns out was my loss. I paired it with a new Wizamet and man did I get an amazing shave. The TRC Titanium was light, nimble, easy to get a comfortable angle no matter the direction I had to shave in. With my neck area that’s important at times my arm has to bend weirdly to get with the crazy grain and the weakness in the left side. I was not trying and after my normal three passes I had a BBS! People should be banging down The Razor Company’s door for another release of these titanium razors! Next to try the SS and aluminum.
