For today’s shave I reached for a new artisan I picked up at The Razor Company, Aura-Craft - Feeling Good, to go with the new Aylsworth Atelier I also picked up at TRC.

Feeling Good from Aura-Craft is a wonderful scent. Warm, sweet, slightly floral, and a touch of spice. They list clove but thankfully to me it’s imperceptible. This base is made from goose fat. It’s slick, thick, and rich. It can take some water and sprouts lather. And post shave feel is fantastic. I can’t wait to try their other bases and I’ve heard rumors of splashes in development from them. Keep your eyes on TRC and go grab some of Feeling Good and start feeling great!

The Atelier, wow! I love me some single edge razors. My current favorite, out of the many I’ve tried and owned, is the Amakuni. And I must say after one shave this will be giving the Amakuni a run for its money. Light, nimble, and with the angle that the head is at as smooth a shave as I can get! It was such a smooth easy shave I went ATG on my neck which hardly ever happens. Wow! This is an amazing razor! Go get one now!

All in all an amazing shave! Have an awesome week!

The TRC Titanium is a razor I picked up off a friend and was told it was a fantastic razor that punches well above its weight. I had never grabbed it which it turns out was my loss. I paired it with a new Wizamet and man did I get an amazing shave. The TRC Titanium was light, nimble, easy to get a comfortable angle no matter the direction I had to shave in. With my neck area that’s important at times my arm has to bend weirdly to get with the crazy grain and the weakness in the left side. I was not trying and after my normal three passes I had a BBS! People should be banging down The Razor Company’s door for another release of these titanium razors! Next to try the SS and aluminum.

I have that TRC razor in stainless steel and it’s legit a top tier razor, I would put it in my top 3. I can’t believe it’s not hyped up more: great smooth and efficient shaver, love the little end cap cutouts too and it just feels so good in the hand and on the face! I didn’t realize they have a titanium version…going to investigate that now 😂

This setup is waiting for me when I get home this evening. This new soap and splash just arrived yesterday and it’s supposed to be similar to Tommy which brings me back to high school again 😃
Have a great night everyone (or morning for those of you on the other side)! 👋
