Pre-shave; Warm shower, face rinse with MWF bar soap.
Brush; Culmak No 84 Best Badger 1’’ knot, Butterscotch handle.
Soap; Jack Jarvis; Cadwgawn- Original recipe, from Man of Siam
Razor; Carbon, CX-Graphite (Ti), with an Original (0.68) webbed base plate. From Sean @ Carbon Razors, the razor is from 1 of 2 ‘’Small Batch’’ runs of approx 30 razors in total.
Blade; Gillette, Red & White (Aussie Spoiler)
Post-shave; Shulton, Old Spice Original, red plastic bottle, 150ml (Bottle style 1986)
Cologne/EDP;
Moisturiser;
Attar (Perfume Oil);
Shave; Very pleasant 2 pass n touch up shave today for a nice BBS, this razor is smooth and very efficient, not a lot on Forums re the Carbon CX razors, not actually sure why, one the best (if not the best) I’ve used YMMV? The Aussie Spoiler blade I would use as a daily if readily available, sadly not!! The shave soap (Man of Siam, I have both varieties), slick with cushion and wow the scent. I was very happy with the initial price, I was even happier today to realise that the tub is 240gms not the 100-125gm I thought, making these exceptionally great value for the $. The O/S vintage A/S, well what more to say than “á blast from the past”

The Lea Menthol Shave Cream face-lathered well with Jayaruh #292 HMW Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the C.V. Heljestrand Lather Catcher razor and the Heljestrand Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Mennen Skin Bracer After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Soap & Splash: Ariana and Evans Vanille Vendetta
Brush: Chisel and Hound, Custom “Skyfall,” V29 Fanchurian
Razor: Blutt Rasur BR-1 0.99
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)

One of the classiest shaves I can muster. Vanille Vendetta is a favorite of many with good reason. It’s also the first shave with my new fully custom Chisel and Hound brush. V29 feels fantastic and I couldn’t be happier with how this turned out. Have a good one everyone. IMG_2050.jpg

Added a New Tool to my Mix, a Shaving Bowl, not sure it is as good as the price one, but does make Lather Quicker n Faster.

Razor: RazoRock BBS OC
Blade: Sharp Titanium
Brush: Hardright Anchorset
Soap: Palmolive shave stick
AS: Skin Bracer Dry Lime

The knot in the Anchorset is a first gen synthetic and is therefore a little scritchy compared to newer synthetics. It made face lathering the Palmolive shave stick a bit uncomfortable.

I'm not sure if that irritation followed through to the shave or if the open comb baseplate isn't as smooth as the safety bar but the BBS didn't feel as smooth and forgiving as it normally does.

Soap; Yardley, Vintage Green label.
Razor; Atelier Durdan, La Faulx ‘’The Scythe’’ AC razor with ++ plate, machine finish.
Blade; Kai Captain Titan Mild PINK.
Post-shave; Saponificio Varesino, Tundra Artica milk/balm.
Cologne/EDP;
Moisturiser;
Attar (Perfume Oil);
Shave; Very nice 2 pass n touch up shave today for a nice BBS. Love using the La Faulx and the Vintage Yardley, “ as slick as snot” probably the slickest I’ve used especially when I get the Kamisori out, YMMV.
All in all, a pleasant shave with a nice A/S to finish with.

Thinking of the tropics with this shave after yesterday’s NorEaster. We thankfully made out ok and never lost power. This is my kind of Bay Rum scent with orange citrus being a prominent note. Great stuff. This awesome TanZ brush also has a new knot. The larger TRC 28mm Regal synthetic. It’s really an amazing synthetic option for the price and pretty cool to have it in a larger size now. Speaking of Mr TanZ, he really had an amazing final drop yesterday. I was lucky enough to snag one. Ryan is a true gentleman and an awesome gent. I’ll miss seeing new creations but am glad he’s doing what’s best for him and his family. I wish him all the best in what lies ahead. Have a good one folks.C0E08757-E0B7-4D13-8046-B57E97988DD9.jpg
