Thank you. I fell in love with this razor… it is surprisingly nimble given the size of the head.
And the Black Mamba is a very cool razor. I hope you get to add it to your collection.

The Derby Menthol Shave Cream face-lathered well with Jayaruh #277 Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Darwin-Stoll Jr. 3D razor and the Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Mennen Skin Bracer After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
 
Shave of the Week Starting 2/16/2026

Blade.......................Personna Gem PDG
Brush......................Stirling Synthetic
Cream....................Old Spice Fresh Lime
Post........................Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
A/S.........................Old Spice Classic

Right dandy shave to start the work week with even though I'm long retired. But still, a very nice start. The Star 100 is an overlooked gem that worked extremely well with the Personna blade. All is well and my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Some challenges with my shave today. First, I’m trying out some soaps new to me and ordered some Cella after reading some favorable comments about it. Nice scent but the container is so small that it is nearly impossible to swirl your brush inside the tub. While a good soap I don’t think the extra work of figuring out how to work up the lather in a small area and the resulting mess are worth it. I’ll use it up but won’t buy more.

BUT, the bigger challenge was the collapse of the beautiful scales on one side of this lovely Leader. Pics below :cry:

I transferred my Cella to a larger tub for specifically that reason. Sorry to see broken scales in such a lovely razor. Will you repair or replace them?

Mashed up Monday!
First ever use of British Gillette Red Tip razor, Tatra Platinum, Proraso pre shave, Omega EVO, Noble Otter BarrBarr soap, Omega alum, HAGs Barberwood aftershave & Faceless balm. I shaved Saturday with my new USA Red Tip and the British Red Tip today. As people have said the British Red Tip is slightly more aggressive. The audible feedback is also different between the two.
