Razor: Schick Krona black tip
Brush: Yaqi Milk Tea
Blade: Dorco Titan (2)
Soap and AS: Stirling Ramblin' Man

I feel like there isn't a lot of love for vintage Schick Krona razors so you can often find them for just a few bucks, which is a shame because they are fantastic shavers.

I feel like the loft is set a bit too high on this brush, it doesn't have much backbone and feels a bit floppy. This makes face lathering a little more challenging. I might have to try it again with a bowl lather.

Happy shaving!

Soap & Splash: Barrister and Mann Promises
Brush: Trotter Handcrafts, SNØ, Muhle STF ++
Razor: Aylsworth Drakkant OC
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (3)

I had to get a shave with Promises in after a visit to the Camp. I know Promises isn’t for everyone but I just love the stuff! I’m back in the city for work today but this scent makes me want to get back up North as soon as possible. There’s something about the Drakkant open comb that makes me always reach for it after more than my usual 24 hours growth. I could use it daily but it’s just such a smooth and efficient open comb beauty of a razor. The clean and crisp SNØ Trotter is just classy and very fitting with this setup. The extra dense Muhle STF is always a joy to use as well. Have a good one friends.IMG_1996.jpg

Some challenges with my shave today. First, I’m trying out some soaps new to me and ordered some Cella after reading some favorable comments about it. Nice scent but the container is so small that it is nearly impossible to swirl your brush inside the tub. While a good soap I don’t think the extra work of figuring out how to work up the lather in a small area and the resulting mess are worth it. I’ll use it up but won’t buy more.

BUT, the bigger challenge was the collapse of the beautiful scales on one side of this lovely Leader. Pics below

Hot water preparation
Savile Row 3824 Silvertip Badger
Cella Crema da Barba Shave Soap
FW Engels Leader 13/16
Cold water rinse
Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel

It’s always sad when it happens, quite difficult to repair

Williams Wednesday's Cold Water Shave

Cold Water Rinse
Williams Mug Shave Soap
Jayaruh #277
Darwin-Stoll Jr. 3D
Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade
Cold Water Rinse
Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Mennen Skin Bracer AS

The Williams Mug Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #277 Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Darwin-Stoll Jr. 3D razor and the Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Aqua Velva Musk After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
