What's you're thoughts on the new RR razor?
The 85 option that I got is very mild and super smooth. It's a daily driver, autopilot type of razor. If you want/like blade feel this isn't the razor for you, at least not in this configuration. Every tto that I shaved with last week, including the Krona, has more blade feel then this.

Thank you Andrew.I saw that recent razor they made with the reverse bent cap and thought wow..but this new razor was suppossed to be a different type of razor..I had a RR Mamba(original,mild version) but it was too mild. I love my latest RR razor,the Game Changer .84 P. Very smooth and efficient. I did purchase the RR stainless Thin handle separately..It's 3 inches in length so the same as standard Gillette DE handles,my preference of course.I don't really like the longer heavier RR handles.The blade feel type I like is the Brit regular flare Tip to Red Tip range..so I guess mild to medium..or most any Gillette excluding adjustables on 9.. ;)

The NL is honestly not any better then the game changer, just different. If you want to step up in blade feel just a bit I would recommend the lupo. It is based on the Wolfman WR1 which I believe draws a lot of inspiration from the flat bottom tech.

I really want to focus on my vintage connection. I will continue to buy RazoRock razors because I have every one that they have released since I started wet shaving, but I'm not really interested in any other modern razor.

Very cool.I had to have at least one Stanless modern razor,just to say I tried/have one.I like the Karve razors also but have only purchased 2 handles so far..3 inch of course ,in brass :cool: ..and as you well know,my Gillettes are my mainstay..;)When is the new Ranger up to bat?

I will probably do another round of vintage razors starting on Sunday!

Saturday's Cold Water Shave
Fat February

Cold Water Rinse
Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap
Jayaruh #292 HMW Badger
Gem Open Comb Damaskeene
Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade
Cold Water Rinse
Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Duru Cologne

It is the last day this week with the Open Comb Damaskeene razor, and a good week it was.

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #292 HMW Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem Open Comb Damaskeene razor and the Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Duru Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Grandpa Val’s razor was a wonderful choice today :)

Hot water preparation
Cella Crema Da Barba Shave Soap
Shavemac 2-band Silvertip Badger
Nielsen’s NeverFail 5/8
Cold water rinse
Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel

Soap; Yardley, Vintage Green label.
Razor; Atelier Durdan, La Faulx ‘’The Scythe’’ AC razor with ++ plate, machine finish.
Blade; Kai, Captain Titan Mild PINK.
Post-shave; Saponificio Varesino, Tundra Artica milk/balm.
Cologne/EDP;
Moisturiser;
Attar (Perfume Oil);
Shave;
The good old vintage Yardley soap with the vintage Culmak brush, a nice pairing. The shave as usual with the La Faulx smooth, close and efficient, finished with the SV Tundra Artica, which for some reason goes really nice with the Yardley?
Lovely shave no issues.
