I went with the GS Lybra and Floris No. 89.



The Lybra has been highly touted by a few trusted folks on insta, FB, and the forums. And they aren’t wrong in their praise. A very smooth, efficient shave. It is heavy but is balanced very well. And the lightest of touches is perfect. All in all I enjoyed the regular plate side very much. Next time I’ll go an extra day between shaves and put the aggressive side through its paces.



Floris London has been around a long, long time. And if No. 89 is any representation of their scents I know why. Woody, slightly sweet, and floral it is a regal scent! I honestly feel like I’m in a hackney carriage on my way for a spot of tea! Get me a pocket watch, top hat and cane I’m going out for a night on the town!

Razor: Feather AS D2 // Blade: Gillette Platinum // Soap: Shannon ´s Soap Balkan Blend // Brush: Yaqi Moka // Aftershave: Shannon ´s Soap Balkan Blend

A magnificent shave. Relaxed and relaxing, joyful and calming. I love Shannon ´s Soaps. This Balkan Blend is an absolutely top notch scent. The soap has light notes of Cherry in it, together with the wonderful Tobacco scent it is really luxurious scent. The Feather took the stubbles down in 3 smooth and gentle passes. Result: BBS

The Aftershave has no notes of Cherry in it, here is just the wonderful Tobacco playing it´s accords all the way.

10 out of 10
