Shave of the day for 15th January 2025 to 15th February 2026

Fine shave with the Filly 13 but another strikeout with The Shave Den Floid Blue Type soap. I was going to toss it but gave it another try based on the experience of a trusted fellow shaver. Once again, it thinned out and became invisible on my face after about 30 seconds and I had to switch to the MSC Black Tie to finish shaving. I might try a third time with this soap only because the scent is amazing.

Old school and classy vibes today. I picked up one of the ultra cool and retro looking Semogue Asylum half hive brushes from Bull Goose Shaving recently. I had always wanted to try Semogue’s Mistura (badger/boar mix) knot and I’m very glad to have one now. I’ll look forward to using it more as I’m very impressed after one use. The Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #199 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Supply SE MAX razor and the Supply Black Label Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Nivea Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
