Razor: Mühle Rocca // Blade: Dorco Prime Platinum // Soap: SV Opuntia // Brush: Semogue 2015HD // Aftershave: Witch Hazel - L´Erbolario Ginepro Nero
God, what a stellar shave this was. 2,5 passes to end up BBS. Smooth, gentle, efficient and very good smelling.

I started with the cold water rinse. The Tabac Shave Soap lathered well with the Olivewood Silvertip Badger. I did one quick pass and touch-ups with the Red and Black Old Type razor by Tom White with a PolSilver Super Iridium Blade. After a cold water rinse, I finished with Tabac After Shave. I am now clean, smooth, and refreshed.

New to hard shave soaps. So last week I tried Tabac and loved the rich thick lather. Today I tried Abbate Y La Mantia Neroli Siciliano and it made an excellent lather as well. I have one more hard soap on order that should fit a custom made bowl that was given to me last week. Two coats of Helmsman Spar urethane and the bowl will be ready to use.
Proraso pre shave, Neroli Siciliano soap, Omega EVO, Timeless Ti .95 scalloped base, Tatra (3), Three full passes, Omega alum, Thayers Toner, HAGs Faceless.

Blade: Shark Platinum - Double Edge Blades.
Bowl: Lathered in AliExpress - Chinese Made - Navy Ceramic Lathering Bowl.
Soap/Cream: Phoenix Shaving - AKA PAA - Diver Down CK-6 Shave Soap - Made in U.S.A.
Brush/Instrument: Phoenix Shaving, aka PAA - Moon Stryker Synthetic Brush.
Extra Stuff: Witch Hazel.
Shave Rating: DAM FINE SHAVE, Close to BBS as you could want.
Comments: Using my Vintage Gillette - 1962 Slim Adjustable DE Safety Razor, with a Shark Platinum - Double Edge Blades. It’s like having Nine different Razors in One, that is the advantage of an adjustable. I really really really like this Razor & Blade combo, efficient, sharp, fair blade life like 3-4 Shaves, and no problems. Almost prefect, but noting is perfect. Plus the Razor is heavy so you can just let it glide and mow down beard. Twisting the Slim dial gives you 9 in 1 Razors to get a Perfect Shave.
Today was normal routine, three pass Shave, better than NORMAL DFS results, close as could be to a BBS but not BBS. TECHNIQUE IS KEY, Razor, Blade, Great , Phoenix Shaving - AKA PAA - Diver Down CK-6 Shave Soap seems to be secondary to technique, THREE PASSES, THREE DIRECTIONS, THREE SETTING off the Adjustable. DFS =’s Dam Fine Shave. Latest Shaves with this hardware have been like on edge of as BBS Shave.
My Soap was Phoenix Shaving - AKA PAA - Diver Down CK-6 Shave Soap. I really love PAA CK-6 because you use so little, it is easy to Lather, and leave my Face in wonderful condition post Shave. Honestly I use a Baskin Robbins - 31 Flavors, FREE TASTE Spoon. Use like a Level Spoon of CK-6 scooped into my Shave Bowl, Dam Brush, and about a Full Teaspoon H2O applied by atomizer. THINK CREAM LATHER is end results. Product is super easy to work with even a Caveman could do it.
Think the trick to making monster Lather is adding water a little at time, and work your Brush to build THICK WET Lather. The Brush is a Phoenix Shaving, aka PAA - Moon Stryker Synthetic that works well, makes Lather fast, has some backbone for scrubbing, cleans up easy as 1, 2, 3, and dries very fast. My Moon Striker is Generation # 1, it don’t glow in the dark like Generation # 2 does, not a big deal
Still using New AliExpress - Chinese Made - Navy Ceramic Lathering Bowl works some much better then the Plastic AliExpress Lathering Bowl with Flower Pattern, this New Lather Bowl was under $7.00, snd I would call it a Best Buy. It sort of poor mans copy of a Captain’s Choice - Ceramic Lather Bowl.
This Razor, Blade combo works better than great, for a 64 Year Old Vintage. Correct me if you disagree BUT IMHO IT ALL ABOUT Technique, Technique, Technique, is more important than SHAVING TOOLS. Never ever will chase BBS, Skin problems, why do I need too? DFS is good enough for me, this Non Tallow Based Soap provided some extra slick to my shave, over all results were DFS.+++.
