Stones, and Strops, and other related items ( Pictures Welcome )

I have always used this tamageiro awasedo as a mid-range stone as it is relatively soft and, under the steel, has a satiny feel. I decided to see if it could finish an edge. Tomo slurry → botan → koma → mikawa. Worked superbly: lovely edge.

La Veinette. Very light. milky slurry for maybe a dozen dilutions; cleaned stone and razor and went with water only passes until there was zero feel. Under running water for half a dozen sets until HHT was solid. Stopped on linen and she is singing. Shave tomorrow!

Full dilucot and on this vintage coticule; finished under running water. HHT was impressive off the stone, and amazing after linen.

Full asano progression on this Nakayama suita, finishing on mikawa nagura.

Set the bevel with a Shapton Glass 2k, and then created a medium density slurry. Worked down to near water before cleaning razor and stone and beginning again with lather. Lots of laps until the entire edge felt icy smooth. First shave with the old rattler in the morning!
