Straight vs DE shaving

I started with DE shaving and added Straight Shaving. I think I'm leaning into the straits more.
What about y'all?
Do you prefer one style over another?
Do you strait shave daily or how often

I still use a DE when I travel, and occassionally to keep my hand in*, but the quality of a straight shave makes it very hard to forego.

* Mostly to try and get through the ridiculous amount of blades I still have stockpiled...

I can’t be bothered stropping, honing or sharpening a bloody straight razor. I’m a KISS person DE wet shaver.

I reach for one of my injectors anytime I’m traveling, want a faster shave, or just looking for a little change of pace from my straights

I can definitely see the appeal of the straight razor ritual, but I’m firmly in the DE camp simply because of my the schedule.
With work and kids, I’m shaving daily—sometimes in the morning, sometimes late at night—whenever I can find that 45-minute window of peace. For me, the DE is just more reliable for a consistent, low-maintenance shave when I'm tired.
I don’t have to worry about stropping or the technical side of maintaining a carbon steel edge; I can just drop a fresh blade in and focus entirely on the experience.
I’d love to move toward straights eventually, but right now, the DE is what keeps me looking presentable (and works wonders for my psychology) without adding extra chores to my downtime!

I lurk and admire the straight razor threads because the razors are true works of art.. It's the way one imagines wet shaving,,but Vintage Gillettes fit my lifestyle ..

Straights don’t have a monopoly on artistic flair. I once collected all the variations of the Schick G series. Truly works of art. Sadly, the G type is my least favorite Schick and I sold them as a group years ago

Για μένα, μιλάμε για δύο διαφορετικούς κόσμους, όπου φυσικά το ξυράφι είναι πιο κοντά στη λέξη παραδοσιακό ξύρισμα.
Για να ασχοληθεί κανείς πραγματικά με τα ξυράφια πρέπει να δει όλη τη διαδικασία διαφορετικά, ακόνισμα - stroping - πέτρες. Και η αναζήτηση του καλύτερου δεν σταματά ποτέ με τα ξυράφια. Very different experiences agreed, for me the DE gives a close comfortable shave and is easy to do the job the Straights though, take more time and intension and has a better connection between the skin and blade.
