Strop Advice

Hi all. I'm getting ready to jump into using straight razors. Instead of buying a strop I bought long leather strips and glued those to boards. So far they are working great. I've been stropping this dubl duck that Craig Budgeon so masterfully managed to restore from the pieces I received in the mail. I noticed the strop is getting a bit dirty from the blade. What would be the best method for cleaning the strop?

I would not get too uptight about cleaning the strop. When I used to straight shave, I had a strop that just got better over time. My only maintenance was to rub it in my hands to get a little "paw grease" onto the leather now and again.
