We began making hand crafted straight razors
HC&C began as a small artisan company making handcrafted straight razors (yes, the kind your granddad used) in our founder's living room. This makes us a little different than most shaving companies. Most companies are business people diving into the world of shaving, we're shaving people diving into the world of business. Our founder, Pete Hendrix, is a shaving enthusiast and incredibly knowledgeable in the industry. He wanted to find a way to provide people with a product of the highest quality that did not break the bank. Testing products, and formulas until he was thoroughly satisfied, he wouldn't rest until he could offer the products he loved at the right price. HC&C was built with transparency and honesty. Today, if there is any problem he takes personal phone calls and texts. We are here for the customer.

Who are we?
ariana&evans is a family business led by Thalia, Evelyn, and Peter. The name comes directly from the family. Thalia’s middle name is Ariana, and Peter’s given name is Evans Peter. The company carries both names, honoring father and daughter.

Our Story
Peter began as a wet shaving hobbyist, just like many of you. He knew exactly what he loved in a soap, and with a little encouragement from his daughter, he decided to turn that passion into a business. A few years later, he created his own formulas using the ingredients he had always valued as a hobbyist, including tallow, goat’s milk, shea & Kokum butters and avocado oil.

His very first soap base quickly created excitement in the shaving community. Peter also had the support of a loyal audience through his YouTube channel, ‘Shaving with Charky’, where he was known as a trusted reviewer. What began as a hobby has now grown into an internationally recognized brand, celebrated for innovation, quality, and artistry.

Our Philosophy
At ariana&evans, we gain inspiration from the world around us. We ourselves have Caribbean and Mediterranean roots, and want to honor that as well as all other beautiful cultures! Whether it is the elegance of a Japanese tea ceremony, the smell of tobacco from Cuba, or the raw energy of an underground club in Amsterdam. We believe everyone deserves a signature scent that captures not only who they are, but also who they want to become.
