Unexpected Score – 1962 Gillette Executive Adjustable (H3)Just received this beauty today from an antique shop here in Greece… and the seller clearly didn’t know what he had.
It was listed as a “Gillette Aristocrat Adjustable (H3 – 1962)” — but as you can see, it’s actually a Gillette Executive Adjustable (Gold Fatboy).
- Date code: H3 (Q3 1962)
- Professionally replated
- Doors open/close perfectly
- Full 1–9 adjustment range with solid clicks
I’m honestly over the moon with this find… especially at the price I paid.
Sometimes the best pieces are still hiding in plain sight

Absolutely beautiful..unfortunately it is indeed a Slim adjustable/or Aristocrat adjustable if it was originally gold plated.

Condition is outstanding — mechanically and cosmetically.

Slim twist knob is longer. diffrent knurling on twist knob than Executive.. G-1 was the last year for Exexcutive also..

These can definitely be confusing across variants and finishes.
I’m quite happy with what I have in hand and how it presents, so I’ll just enjoy it as it is.
