What's your favorite knot?

I have turned into a Boar fan. The more I use them the better they get. I love the combo of skritch and softness.

The rest of my fairly modest collection are synthetics.

Because of my personal ethics I have never tried a badger, believe it or not. I don't judge others but they are just something I felt I could do without. Perhaps I am missing out but that's ok. I think todays synthetics are easier to use and do a fine job making outrageous lather.

I also have never tried Horse. It just never appealed to me.

How about you?

Easily the Wald A-1 Synthetic. Nothing comes close for me.

That said, I feel I have a good variety of different boar, badger, synthetic, mixed knots, and horse and enjoy all of them depending on what I’m in the mood for.

Well I’ve been using this Culmak, Best Badger for a few weeks now (daily as dries easily within 24hrs) and finding it hard to put down and get back to a rotation of 2 band Badgers I normally use, from @TroyTools, Maseto & Frank Shaving 26mm’s

For badger I like the Simpson Best Badger knots,for boars I like Semogue Premium and Omega 10098 knots. All my synthetics are Tuxedo knots..,happy with those..

Zenith Unbleached 27mm. This is easily the knot I love the most.

I am a One Brush Guy, it simple I use an Omega 10019, It make Lather, Applies, lather, and Exfoliates Skin real well. I think about other Brushes, like a Synthetic, or badger, but what I have works well for me.

This Savile Row 3824 Silvertip Badger stands head and shoulders above all my other brushes. It’s silky smooth without being floppy. It’s a pleasure to lather with and super pleasurable on my face. The only thing I’d change would be to get a larger 28 mm knot.

I’m with @PhilC195 the Wald A1 is untouchable to me. But surprisingly the new The Razor Company’s Regal synthetic is outstanding and cheap

Conversely, I owned a Wald A1 and didn't care for it at all. Indeed, synthetics are not my style.
Favorite knot is the old David Carter-era Best Badgers.
Like @LesC I have a Culmak 92 and the knot is terrific.
Too many other top-notch knots to mention them all.

26mm synthetic are my sweet spot. I tried a cheaper badger when I first started and moved on to a razorock plissoft and a handful of yaqi synthetics. Eventually will try a silvertip badger, but for now synth makes me happy

I like a knot with some backbone and soft tips. I have good examples in every brush type boar, horse, synthetic, and badger. My favorite is a two band badger with gel tips like the Maggard SHD knots. I probably have half a dozen of them in various handles. Here is one in a Wild West Brushworks handle.
