Stirling Bonaparte~~Semogue 2012 SE Mistura~~Grand Shave King Self-Lubricating Razor/Personna 74 (4)~~Louis Vuitton Pur Oud
The Semogue loaded up plenty o' product and with great
aplomb, delivered it deftly to my face.
The Grand Shave King is a light and easy to wield tool that holds the blade securely and at a nice geometry.
Three, uneventful passes left me smooth and soft.
Cleaned up the suds with some Thayer's and moisturized with some Art of Shaving ASB.
Stank du jour: Pur Oud by Louis Vuitton.

Stirling Noir~~Simpson PL8~~2010 Mühle R41/Personna 74 (5)~~Vintage Drakkar Noir (Cosmair)
Took a break from my current 3017 to give the Stirling Noir a try.

This was a generous gift from my pal and fellow Shave Chat member @linuxguile
Thank you Andrew.
I have a new soap from Ariana & Evans on the way:

I will report back how it compares with both the Stirling and the Guy Laroche Drakkar Noir.

Stirling Bonaparte~~Black Eagle HT1~~2010 Mühle R41/Personna 74(6)

Everything was going swimmingly, until I took a bite out of my neck right above the apple.
Nevertheless, a fine shave.

Stirling Bonaparte~~Varlet Mega HD~~2010 Mühle R41/Personna 74 (7)~~Vintage Gucci Pour Homme (1976)
It won't be long until this Bonaparte meets his Waterloo.
Avoided cutting out any epidermis.
Vintage Gucci is sublime.

Stirling Bonaparte~~Vie-Long~~2011 Mühle R41/Personna 74 (8)~~1 Million Privé
Changed to the 2011 R41 and what a difference a year made!
Extreme blade-feel. Now, for the
uninitiated, this razor will shave off a layer of epidermis. :ROFLMAO:
But this situation keeps me honest, so I rarely cut myself with it.
Finished with my favorite of the "1 Million" line. Privé. Sadly discontinued.

Ariana & Evans Soir Noir~~Simpson 58~~Gillette Pre-War Tech (US)/Personna 74 (12)~~Vintage Drakkar Noir
I took a much-needed day off from the Stirling to try out my latest acquisition.
The A&E Soir Noir is a VERY CLOSE dupe of the Cosmair Drakkar Noir. Indeed it smells almost identical!
The product is a CREAM---better suited for a tube rather than a tub.
I had a discussion with Peter at A&E, because I was frankly not sure the product wasn't bad.

I have some experience with this line and what they term "cream" is usually a firm croap.
Not this.
He assured me that it was representative of THIS product and the various essential oils are what change the soap's consistency.
I was satisfied with his response and told him I would shave with it today and report my results.
He refunded me my purchase price.
Completely
unnecessary, because I really like this cream.

Stirling Bonaparte~~Wald S1~~Gillette Pre-War Tech (USA)/Personna 74 (13)~~Vintage CK One
Another 3017 in the books.

This Stirling was a tougher than usual Titanic, because the scent---while interesting, is not an "everyday" affair.

Primo will mos def® focus on some variety for the foreseeable future and post here focussing on the "pleonastic" aspect of my thread.
That is to say, I will use many more words than necessary to get my point across while entertaining my fan-base.

There is still enough soap in the bottom of that tub for one more shave

Vicco Shave Foam~~Hoffritz Butterscotch~~Gillette Tech/Personna 74 (14)~~Louis Vuitton Nuit de Feu
On the road and the Vicco was in my Dopp kit. It travels well and while I can't remember from whence it came,
it is a really nice
soap with an interesting scent.
The Hoffritz also resides in a small pill container. (Note to self: drill some holes in the top and bottom)
I received this travel vial of the Louis Vuitton stank today.
It is first and foremost, a leather scent. Will make sure to spritz lightly.

Wholly Kaw King of Oud (Tallow)~~Simpson KH2~~1908 Gillette Old Type/Personna 74~~Spirit of Dubai Oud

Interesting that the Single Ring Gillette is more aggressive...read blade-feel, than many of the company's successors.
The handle says "Best Badger", but this is a two-band super badger knot.
Simpson used to fill already printed handles with different hair-type.
The OG box from Simpson states 2 Band Super Badger.
King of Oud lathers like a champ and produces some of the most stabile lather out there.

That's some nice looking super goop Joseph!

Ethos Dragonsbeard~~TSN 3rd Anniversary PK47 (39/100)~~Cooper MonoBilt/Personna 74 (16)~~Spirit of Dubai Oud
Small homage to Andrew @linuxguile I pulled out the
Cooper.
I have always been of the opinion that the Cooper MonoBilt is an aggressive razor, which demands technique.
Mucho "blade feel".
Primo had no issues. No blood.
Great shave.

You know my love for the MonoBilt! I agree you definitely know where the blade is with the MonoBilt.

Antica Barbieria Colla~~Rubberset 400/3~~Barbasol Floating Head/Personna 74 (17)~~Spirit of Dubai Oud
Picked out a rarely-used Italian soap. Made a
terrific lather.
The Personna 74 is, imo, reaching the end of its viability.
