Friday Morning 26/12/2025 "Boxing day bay rum"


  • Razor : Gillette Rocket HD 500/59 TTO DE nickel plated brass .(UK)
  • Blade : Wizamet Iridium stainless  (2). (Russia)
  • Brush : Phoenix Shaving Amber Aerolite Synthetic 24mm. (USA) 
  • Soap : PAA Atomic Age Bay Rum (NonTallow) . (USA) 
  • Aftershave : Genuine Ogallala Bay Rum & Sweet Orange. (USA)
  • Weight : 71 grams. (Razor)

  • Hi all,
                 Had a lovely shave today with the rocket HD I always get a good shave out of this razor (as long as its a quality blade)
         it's extra weight for its size matched with efficiency makes it one of the better UK offerings in my opinion.
         Well worth picking one up if you can just check that it's the solid brass version (there is a version with an Ali handle) again in
         my opinion the heavier all brass one feels better in the hand.

          The PAA atomic bay rum is a slick sweet scented soap with good cushioning and aftershave feel.
          Finished of nicely with Ogallala sweet orange bay rum splash. "highly recommended line of bay rum aftershaves"

          1 pass WTG 1 pass ATG no touch-ups done.
          No nick no worries.
          Have great shave and enjoy the moment.

Thanks to the Bunny Project thread I was reminded of what is certainly one of the best shaving razors you can own. This is the V2 of The Bunny designed and manufactured by @twhite.
Absolutely stellar shave on a fine Boxing Day ❤️

Bowl/Scuttle:- Captain's Choice
Brush:- Yaqi Sagrada Familia Two Band Badger 22/50mm knot
Soap/Cream:- Arko (4 shaving sticks grated into a 250ml plastic tub) the world famous piss stick, fantastic for summer season to keep those blood sucking mosquitoes away.
Razor/Blade:- Weber PH with iKon Bulldog Handle / Vintage NOS English Wilkie #2
Post/After-shave:- Isocol Multipurpose Alcohol Spray 450ml
Fragrance:- Milkman Bay Bounty (Australian made)
Deodorant:- Milkman Bay Bounty (Australian made)
 
Artist Club shave today,
with a great combo from Ariana & Evans: Woods and Spices.
Its scent really lifted my mood, while the Ultima base gave a rich, creamy lather that was still left over after 3 passes!
Today's setup:
Razor: Blackland Vector SS316L
Blade: Feather ProGuard (7th use)
Brush: CF Shaves Helix Barbershop – Synthetic Knot
Soap: A&E Woods and Spices

Does the Ogalla’s Bay rum w/ orange has a strong scent. I remember seeing several ones with sage and cedar wood.
